Like Alice, my arms and legs have began to elongate
My head has acquired a new weight
My feet already passed their size eight
I have grown, like a fetus in a womb that wants to let go
This house of mine didn't get the memo, come on, grow!
I am a leviathan, trapped in a lake
These walls punch my back, the roof slaps my head; ache
I have become too big for the house, but where can I go?
I have become too big for the house, above and below
I am a whale, all words are slow and echo
Guest can't come in, H-E-L-L-O
My torso has a different shape
And a different colour, who knew brown could turn into grape
I have grown, like a pearl in a mantle, yet this mollusc of mine will not let go
Too big for the house, still I cannot leave my cocoon
Too big for the house, it will fall apart soon
